Jamming in the car is one of the best ways to make a long road trip seem much shorter.  But listening to endless radio commercials can put a damper on your in-car concert.  Instead of waiting for your favorite songs to play on the radio, BMW has a new solution with the introduction of the MOG music streaming application. 

Lake Bluff new 3 Series drivers can now use the MOG music streaming application to browse over 13 million songs and play them through the car radio.  With this new app, MOG users can sing along to Adele's ballads or channel their inner Jon Bon Jovi during rush hour.  For only $9.99 per month, drivers can have unlimited access to the 13 million-song database.  In addition, the MOG music-streaming service is advertisement-free, which means that there are no interruptions when you are singing along to your favorite singer's greatest hits. 

The MOG app is currently available in 2011 BMW vehicles that have the BMW apps feature installed.  Lake Bluff new 3 Series drivers who want to use MOG in their car must first download the MOG app onto their Apple iPhone.  When the driver connects their iPhone to the car, then the MOG app is displayed on the infotainment screen and the driver can browse through songs using the steering wheel controls or the car's radio controls.    

In addition, MOG's music streaming service provides users with the opportunity to make playlists on a computer and download them on an iPhone to play through the MOG service in a 2011 BMW vehicle.  When a driver chooses a specific artist through the MOG app, all of that artist's songs will be shuffled. 

The search feature on the MOG app allows a driver to search for a song by title or artist name, but it can be challenging to use while driving because the name needs to be spelled out, so when searching for a song it is a good idea to have an additional passenger be the official car deejay.
