Are there multiple trim levels?
Yes! The four-door, five-passenger compact luxury SUV is offered in four trim levels: sDrive28i, xDrive28i, xDrive28d, and xDrive35i. The trim levels correspond to powertrain and/or drivetrain.

What comes under the hood?
That is dependent upon trim level. The 2017 BMW X3 sDrive28i and xDrive28i get a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The xDrive28d models are powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque. The xDrive35i models get a peppy and quick 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque. All engines come paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission and an automatic stop-start system.

What is the difference between sDrive and xDrive?
The “sDrive” and “xDrive” terms are the BMW brand’s way of distinguishing between rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models, with sDrive meaning rear-wheel drive and xDrive indicating the vehicle is equipped with the BMW brand’s intuitive all-wheel drive system.

Does it come with any notable features?
Absolutely! Tech features include Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, the iDrive electronics interface, available head-up display, a navigation system, enhanced driver information display, smartphone app integration, BMW Remote Services, and so much more!
