At Fields BMW Northfield we have some very exciting news for those of you who have been waiting for a vehicle powered by an electrical drive system that has zero emissions. Behold the BMW i3!
The latest updates on the highly anticipated BMW i3 are absolutely exciting for BMW dealers. Chicago drivers can expect to be able to get their hands on the electric vehicle with zero driving emissions in a premium car package by January 2014!
What is even more exciting than that is the price for BMW dealers. Chicago drivers can expect that in the U.S., the starting price for the fully electric plug-in version of the BMW i3 will clock in an excellent price point of $34,500.
Now that we have an idea of when the BMW i3 will first become available to drivers as well as the estimated price point, we want to share what all of the excitement is all about. The BMW i3 is completely powered by an electrical driving system meaning it will produce zero emissions, has excellent performance, and can be charged in the comfort of your own garage or a private parking space!
The BMW i3 is able to go from 0-35 mph is a mere 3.5 seconds
and can go from 0-60 mph in just seven seconds, demonstrating that an
all-electrical vehicle does not necessitate sacrificing speed and performance.
The lithium-ion battery will allow the BMW i3 to achieve
a range of 80 - 100 miles in everyday driving, meaning you will not need to
charge your vehicle very frequently.
As you can see, there is a lot to love on the all-new BMW i3. No emissions, all-electric, excellent speed, long battery life and a quiet, comfortable driving experience make us want to fast forward to January!
