Even though the final round of the BMW Championship was delayed due to rain today, Monday's finale should be a great one with Jim Furyk leading Steve Stricker by only one shot heading into the final round tomorrow. BMW dealers are also excited to see if Tiger Woods, currently fifth and only four shots behind, makes a move and takes the lead.
As we wait for more great golf tomorrow, there has already
been some exciting news coming out of the 2013 BMW Championship in the form of money
raised for a wonderful charity. BMW dealers in and around Chicago are
very excited that Hunter Mahan scored a hole-in-one which ensures that BMW of
North America will donate a $100,000 four-year scholarship to the Evans
Scholars Foundation which provides scholarships to deserving caddies!
And as if that were not exciting enough, an all-new BMW i3
electric vehicle will also be donated! All proceeds of the BMW Championship will
also benefit the Evans Scholars Foundation.
"That's awesome of BMW to do that, to have [the] Evans Scholarship. I remember playing [in] the Western Junior and hearing about it, and it's a great thing that they do," said Hunter Mahan. "Caddies are a big part of golf, and it's awesome that a kid is going to have a great education, so that's amazing."
At Fields BMW Northfield we salute Mahan on his hole-in-one shot that has brought such
great, life-changing donations to this foundation.
