Are there multiple trim levels?
Yes! The four-door five-passenger SUV comes in two trims: the xDrive28i and xDrive35i. The xDrive designates that both vehicles are all-wheel drive.

What comes under the hood?
The xDrive28i comes powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 240 horsepower and 260 pound-foot of torque, while the xDrive35i gets a 3.0-liter V6 turbocharged engine that makes 300 horsepower and 300 pound-foot of torque. Both engines will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The EPA estimates that the four-cylinder will average 21/28 mpg, city and highway, while the V6 should get 19/26 mpg, respectively.

Is it a safe car to drive?
Absolutely! The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave it the top rating of Good in its moderate-overlap front tests, side impact, rear crash protection, and roof strength tests. It has not yet been tested in the small overlap front crash tests.
