The 2014 BMW 428i comes with a powerful turbocharged engine that has a great fuel economy and a long list of standard safety features. Keep reading to find out more!

Are there multiple trim levels?
The 2014 BMW 428i is one of two trim levels, along with the 435i, in the 4 Series line. It comes in both convertible and coupe lines. Drivers can also opt for the BMW brand’s all-wheel drive system, the xDrive options.

What comes under the hood?
It comes powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 240 horsepower and 255 pound-foot of torque. It is available with either a six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic transmission. As mentioned above, it comes with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

How is the fuel economy?
Great! The EPA estimates that it will average 23/35 mpg, city and highway, with the automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. With all-wheel drive and the automatic, the EPA estimates it will get slightly less at 22/33 mpg, city and highway.

Is it a safe car to drive?
Absolutely! It hasn’t been crash tested by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, but it is sure to continue the excellent tradition set by previous generations of BMW vehicles. It also comes with a slew of standard safety features, including all the class standard airbags, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, front disc/rear drum brakes, brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, daytime running lights, integrated turn signal mirrors, auto-leveling headlights, and a lane departure warning system.
