The 2015 BMW 2 Series model line comes in both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models (with the exception of the 2015 BMW M235i convertible). Across the board an eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard while models with rear-wheel drive can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission with additional cost. The 2015 BMW 228i comes powered by 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that makes 240 horsepower and 255 pound-foot of torque. The EPA estimates it will average 23/36 mpg, city and highway, with rear-wheel drive and 23/35 mpg with all-wheel drive. The M235i models are equipped with a 3.0-liter inline V6 engine that delivers an impressive 320 horsepower and 330 pound-foot of torque. Per the EPA, this sporty coupe should get an estimated 21/32 mpg with rear-wheel drive and 20/30 mpg with all-wheel drive. All models also come equipped with a fuel-saving automatic stop-start function.
