The all-new 2015 BMW M3 seats up to five passengers in one high-performance sedan that is based on the BMW 3-Series lineup. It comes powered by an impressive 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine that generates 425 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque that revs up to 7,600 rpm. It comes available with one of two transmission options; a standard six-speed manual with automated rev-matching or the optional seven-speed automated manual (M-DCT) with steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. With the M-DCT and using an integrated launch-control feature, it delivers a 0-60 mph time of just 3.9 seconds, while the six-speed does it in 4.1 seconds. The EPA estimates that it will average 17/26 mpg with the manual and about 16/25 mpg with the automatic.
In addition to all that power, it comes well stocked with loads of standard and advanced safety features. Standard features include four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, traction control, electronic stability control, and all the class standard airbags. The stability control system integrates features to improve braking performance such as brake drying and brake snugging.
