All of the events net proceeds will benefit the Evans Scholar Foundation, which grants full university housing and tuition to hardworking, young caddies. In the 8 years of being title sponsor of the yearly event, the tournament has raised more than $20 million for the Evans Scholars Foundation. Earlier in the tournament, another golfer, Jordan Spieth, earned a hole-in-one, which resulted in the donation of another BMW Hole-In-One Scholarship. The BMW Hole-In-One Scholarship is a full, four-year Evans Scholarship that is worth $100,000. It’s the fourth time in the last five years that BMW awarded the scholarship. The Evans Scholars Foundation was founded in order to improve college prospects for deserving caddies nationwide. Currently 910 caddies are attending college as Evans Scholars.
