Earlier today, the BMW brand learned that the 2017 BMW X1 received Car and Driver’s first-ever 10Best Truck and SUV award for 2017 in the Subcompact Luxury SUV category, while the 2017 BMW M2 and 2017 BMW M240i made the annual 10Best list of best automobiles up for sale in the United States. While the 10Best Cars award has been issued for more than three decades, the 10Best Trucks and SUVs is a new addition/award to the yearly Car and Driver evaluations. With the 2017 BMW X1, the BMW is pioneering the category. The new 2017 BMW X1 is powered by a 2.0-liter TwinPower Turbo four-cylinder engine that generates 228 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque, making it the most powerful entry model in the segment. It is also equipped with an efficiency-optimized version of the BMW brand’s intelligent and intuitive all-wheel system along with newly developed chassis technology to help enhance driving dynamics and ride comfort.
Once inside, the impressive features and materials don’t stop. It comes equipped with the BMW iDrive operating system with a high-resolution central display screen, a premium sound system, power front seats with driver side memory, standard power tailgate, Bluetooth connectivity, Smartphone App integration, adaptive cruise control, and active driving assistant.
