The new 2017 BMW 230i Coupe and 2017 BMW 230i Convertible are both powered by the latest generation of the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 248 horsepower and 258 pound-foot of torque. The new four-cylinder engine comes paired to the latest generation of the eight-speed Steptronic Sport Automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive models are also available with six-speed manual gearbox. The 2017 BMW M240i Coupe and 2017 BMW M240i Convertible will feature the new 3.0-liter inline-six-cylinder engine that produces 335 horsepower and 369 pound-foot of torque. It comes paired to the eight-speed automatic sport transmission and either front-wheel or the intelligent all-wheel drive system, or BMW xDrive.
The sleek design and focus on efficiency and aerodynamics has resulted in enhanced dynamics that show in the acceleration values of the 2017 BMW 2 Series. The 2017 BMW M240i Coupe will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.6 seconds when paired to the manual transmission or an impressive 4.2 seconds when equipped with all-wheel drive. The 2017 BMW M240i Convertible will accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds with the manual.
